I'm Micah — and I make most of my photographs from a few hundred feet up.
Based in Longmont, Colorado, I fly the Front Range: the peaks, the small mountain towns, the reservoirs that turn to glass at dusk. What I'm really chasing is the few minutes of light that make a place look the way it feels. When I travel, the drone comes with me; it's how the cliffs of Aruba ended up hanging beside the Rockies in this collection.
I'm early in this, and I love it that way — every flight still feels like the first. Everything you see here is available as a print, composed in the field and finished by hand. And if an image speaks to you but you're picturing it a little differently, the door's always open.
